"Are we ONE or MANY?"

Let's be honest here. Some of the things we read in the Bible are difficult to understand. Some of what Jesus commands and teaches are hard to put into practice. And some of them seem down right impossible.

 

But we also know that we can do ALL things through Christ who gives us strength. And if Jesus says it... we are obligated to do it.

 

Today's message is no exception. Jesus prays over us in John 17 that we are to be "one" with each other JUST like Jesus is "one" with the Father. Now we can vaguely grasp the concept of Jesus and the Father being "one", but US too? WE are supposed to be "one" with each other "just as" Jesus is one with the Father?

"One on One w/Jesus"

What if John 3:16, one of the Church's greatest verses to spread the gospel... was originally shared to just ONE man by Jesus. This verse has been shared to billions of people in the past 2,000 years. It has been shouted from pulpits, preached on the streets... broadcast to millions over the radio and TV...

 

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (NIV)

 

You have probably heard it... many times. But what if Jesus originally spoke this life changing verse to just ONE man late at night. Not to 4,000 or 6,000 people on a hilltop. Just a "One on One" conversation with Jesus. Well... it was. Listen to today's message and see that Jesus is STILL sharing this same message "One on One" with YOU, today!
