"Refocus"

Have you ever looked back on your life and realized you changed... without even knowing it? Have you ever done that with your relationship with Jesus?

Today, Pastor Kamron shares some personal conviction that he believes is true for his own life as well as the church. We need to refocus. We need to place Jesus once more at the top of our list of priorities in our lives. Complacency has set in and it's not welcome.

Listen to this week's message where we look at the need to refocus on Jesus through the filter of Psalm 27. Then we look at Epaphras, a prayer warrior in the New Testament that we need to become like, as Believers in Jesus. Let's do this!

"Do Gooder"

Last week Pastor Kamron shared a message from Acts, chapter 10. In that passage, Peter shared the Good News to Cornelius and his household. He told them about Jesus. And one thing Peter said about Jesus is the topic of today's message:

"Jesus went around doing good..."

Now, we might think the word "good" is a bit abstract in today's world... because it is. But according to Pastor Kamron that is not the case when it comes to "Goodness" as talked about 100's of times throughout the Bible. In fact, it is REALLY important that we understand what it means because we TOO are called to do GOOD. According to this week's message... we are called to do GOODER.

Listen today and see if it's not an area of your life that you could "do gooder" in.

"Who is MY Cornelius?"

Have you ever heard someone clearly speak... and take what they said completely WRONG? You know, your spouse or friend tells you something that should be easy to understand... but you misunderstand what they meant? It happens all the time, right?

Well, what about God's Word? Have you ever read a passage in the Bible and thought you understood it... to find out later you got it wrong? Not good.

Listen to today's message as Pastor Kamron looks at Peter's apparent misunderstanding of the Great Commission. Yeah, Peter the rock. Jesus said to make disciples of ALL nations... yet Peter seemed to miss the "ALL" part in the early part of his ministry when it came to reaching out to the gentiles. (Namely Cornelius in Acts)

It makes us ask ourselves this question, "Who is MY Cornelius?"

"What IF?"

Listen to this week's message from our associate pastor here at Onaway Assembly of God, Pastor Ryan Sivyer. He titled this message "What If?"

Let's explore the ever-so captivating question that sparks the innocent imagination of a kid that eventually transforms into the fearful mind of most adults. The "What-if...?" question. Talking about how FEAR can pull us away from our firm foundation in Christ as our minds wander the "what-if" chamber. The book of Genesis shows us how the first sin and subsequent fear makes us want to run from God rather than turn to Him and face our fears.

With the promises of God's Word and the power of the Holy Spirit we can be equipped to fight the everyday battles with confidence and peace. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take."

"Surrender... Daily"

Today we are looking at the life of King Asa in the Old Testament. He was a great King early in his life… he started off depending solely on the Lord. He sought God when a huge army came to battle Judah… and God answered with a victory against a foe they should not have won against.

God is awesome!

But… (You probably knew this was coming), King Asa got comfortable and secure in himself. Over time he lost his dependence on God. Many years later a similar battle came to Judah’s door and this time… King Asa did not seek the Lord. The old saying goes something like this, “He won the battle, but lost the war.”

King Asa became bitter and angry towards God and it cost him his life.

Surrendering DAILY is a practice we all need to embrace. Listen to this week's message and see if you have some surrendering to do in YOUR life.
