"I Walk By Faith"

This week, Pastor Kamron looks at 2 Corinthians 5:7... a passage that declares we should walk by "Faith and not by sight". The rub here is, we so easily transition from a "Faith" walk to a "Sight" walk.

Life is distracting... God is whispering... Are you listening?

If you would like to know why a pigeon bobs its head when it walks... OR if you would like to know why it's SO important that we stay focused on Jesus by walking in faith. (Hopefully the latter) Then this message is for YOU. Let's make sure that we are living a life of faith!

"Change the Story"

We live in a world that is full of fake. Fake people. Fake friendships. Fake wealth. So much fake it's hard not to join in.

Fake me.

It's not that I want to be fake. It's just that it's easier to pretend I'm OK... even when I'm not. It's easier to try to forget my hurt and pain inside. It's easier to slap on my fake smile and be of good cheer. People around me like me better that way.

Fake me. Or in my eyes... ugly me. Because I don't like what I see inside.

The problem with this perception of myself... is I tend to think God views me this way too. That when God sees me, because God knows the ugly side of me like I do... He sees ugly. He is disgusted with me just like I am.

Only... He doesn't. God doesn't view us like that. God made me. I am fearfully and wonderfully made by His hands. And He sees me as beautiful.

Listen to today's message as Pastor Kamron shares some raw feelings of himself and the false perception that led him to share this week's message. You too can come to the amazing truth that God loves you and you are in fact, His MASTERPIECE!

"God's Call to GO is Not Followed with 'NO!'"

Do you feel qualified to share Jesus with others? Do you feel like it's your duty as a Christian to share with your friends and family your reason for Faith in Jesus?

You should.

Actually, you must. This week... Pastor Kamron shares the "Call" that is on each and every Believer in Christ to GO as Jesus commands us in the Great Commission. (Matthew 28:18-20). But that's not all there is to it. Where you GO and how you GO can look very different than anyone else. That's why we must be obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit. And no matter what it costs or how crazy it sounds... we GO when God says to GO!

Listen to this week's message and see if the Great Commission might be something you need to re-visit and refresh your understanding of. It's time we heed the Call to GO!

"As Iron Sharpens Iron"

It's hard to express the move of the Holy Spirit in a blog post... but this week God definitely touched some lives. God is gracious and He lovingly poured into us this week. Praise the Lord.

Pastor Kamron shares with us in this message the great need for us as Believers... to remain committed to meeting together and living life together.

He shared the experience he had while speaking at the Adventure Summer Camp the past few days. God moved and lives were changed... simply because some men and boys sought God's face and spent time praying for one another. Sharpening one another.

Preparing for the storms of this life that are coming!

If you want to see revival happen. If you want to see more moves of God in your life. Listen to this week’s message and see if Proverbs 27:17 doesn't need to be reapplied to your life!

"Independence From?"

This week we celebrate Independence Day as a country. On July 4th, 1776... 240 years ago, we declared our independence from England. Today we recognize this Declaration of Independence as one of the greatest moments in modern history. It truly is.

And as great as THAT is, there is an even greater freedom that we can celebrate as Christians. That is the day we declared our independence from DEATH! That amazing day that we said yes to Jesus and committed to serving Him for the rest of our lives.

Freedom. Now ours. Forever.

But many take this free gift and they neglect the awesome responsibilities that come with it. Listen to this week's message as Pastor Kamron talks about the pit fall that many Christians make when they step OUT of God's Will and essentially declare their independence from Jesus. Have you? Are you? Will you? See if this is something you need to think about today!

"A Father's Legacy"

This week's message is not just a Father's Day message... it's appropriate to apply this to ALL of our lives. This concept of "Legacy" is HUGE. One of the most important things we will leave behind when we leave this earth is our legacy. Our family. Our kids. Our grand kids.

What impact will MY life have on THEIR lives? What will they gain or lose in their life because of how I live MINE?

Listen to Pastor Kamron this week as he shares the importance of living for Jesus for REAL. He shares some personal experiences with his own father and how much that impacted his life later on. Let's show the next generation what it means to submit and obey Jesus in every aspect of our walk as Christians.

Start today... your kids will thank you tomorrow!

"No Longer Slaves"

Today we hear a message about fear from our worship leader here at Onaway Assembly of God, Becky Cope. Listen to a timely message for many about the enslavement of FEAR. Becky refers to the Israelite's as they walked out of Egypt where they were slaves. Unfortunately they maintained this "slave mentality" even after being freed!

We do the same thing.

We accept Jesus but then allow fear to constrict us. The reality is... we are "No Longer Slaves"! Listen to today's message and embrace your freedom in Christ!

"I Choose... Adventure!"

We have this idea as Christians that we must put on a fake “show” for others to see that we are perfect and have life all figured out. We pretend that we no longer have any temptations and that SIN is no longer a problem for our life.

Ever do that?

It’s funny that we think we should by sinless when we are all “Disciples in Training”. It’s true. Jesus is our Trainer and He is training us to be Holy. But when you train, there are many times where you fail. It’s part of training!

Listen to today’s message as Pastor Kamron talks about failures in our walk as Disciples of Jesus. Also the need to CHOOSE to view our walk as an adventure… not a nightmare that we can’t wait to wake up from. Join us on this GRAND Adventure with Jesus!

"Don't FORGET What You Need to REMEMBER!"

This week we celebrate Memorial Day as a Nation. We do so to REMEMBER what many brave men and women did when they sacrificed their lives for our freedom we enjoy today. For that... we are thankful.

As Christians, we also must REMEMBER another great sacrifice. Jesus sacrifice. He died  for each one of us so that we can have LIFE. For that, we are forever thankful.

But as Pastor Kamron shares in today's message... what do we do to not FORGET this amazing sacrifice that Jesus made? What do we DO to never forget? What do we do to remember daily and focus on what is most important every day?

Listen to this weeks message and see if there is something you can do to reduce days where you don't give Jesus a second thought. Let's be intentional together about starting EACH and EVERY day with a declaration for God's Will to be done. It will be a game changer if we do!

"Dysfunctional World... Meet Jesus!"

This week's message is tough. Tough... because it's hard to put into practice. Hard to put into practice... because it will cost me. It will be uncomfortable. It will be time consuming.

But it will also, and this is the best part... introduce others to Jesus.

Isn't that what we want? YES!

If that doesn't scare you off, then listen to this message as Pastor Kamron talks about welcoming a very dysfunctional world (All those around you who don't know Jesus) into your own life. Into your home. To share your space and see your Jesus through how you live. It might just be the catalyst needed to save your friends and neighbors.

Try it and see for yourself as you follow in the very footsteps of Jesus.

"Am I Found Faithful in Generosity?"

Have you ever thought something someone offered to give you or do for you... was "Too good to be true"? You knew there was a catch. They wanted something in return. It was going to cost you something, somehow.

Generosity is rare these days. And when we DO experience it... we are suspect to its authenticity. What's the catch? This MUST be "Too good to be true"!

But in walks Jesus. He is the epitome of generosity. His life is a perfect example of what being sacrificially generous actually looks like. But as a Disciple of Jesus... does mine? Does MY life reflect a Jesus level of generosity? Listen to today's message as Pastor Kamron talks about being found faithful in generosity and what God expects.

Let's all be found faithful when the master returns soon!

"God Opposes the Proud"

Have you ever told God "No"? Have you ever ignored God's prompting in your life? Have you ever known what direction or action God is calling you to take... but gone the opposite way or flat out refused to obey?

You probably have. We all at some point have. Maybe you are well versed in telling God "no"... maybe not. But think about it like this... Who am I, to think that I am RIGHT and God is WRONG? Who am I, to tell God "no"?

What is it that has to be in me... in order to think I can puff up my chest and brazenly challenge the Creator of the universe, the Almighty God... the Great I Am? It's PRIDE.

Our passage today in James says that God OPPOSES the proud. So when I allow pride in my life... I am flirting with disaster as I find myself on the losing end of the field... with God as my opponent. There's an opponent you do NOT want. There is a fight you cannot win. Listen to today's message and see how you can replace this sin called pride with the antidote... called humility. (Yes, God opposes the proud... but He gives GRACE to the humble!)

"Where Do I Start?"

We are in this series called "The Anatomy of a Disciple". Through the course of the next few weeks, we will be talking about what it looks like to be a Disciple of Jesus. It's a journey. It's a life long process. So I need to ask myself...

"Where Do I Start?"

Listen to this weeks message as Pastor Kamron asks us to pretend we all start out as a broke down, messed up... hoopty of a truck. And he says Jesus is the greatest mechanic in the world. And WE have to let HIM do the work on us. Will you trust Jesus to work on you?

Listen and find out for yourself, where you should start...

"He Chose Me"

If you look at your life today, who would you say are some of the biggest influencers in your life? People that you looked up to or took advice from and it reflects in who you are today. Much of it was probably good influence... maybe some were a bad influence.

But the biggest question is... who is your main influence TODAY in your life?

As we start our new series today, Pastor Kamron makes a case for putting Jesus in that place. Making Jesus your #1 influence in your life. If you truly want to be a disciple of Jesus, this can't be an optional decision. It is actually required.

"Risen"

Is there anything in your life that you are personally struggling with today? Do you have some issue that won't go away? Many of us do!

This week, Easter Sunday... we celebrate the empty tomb of Jesus. We celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus! That happened. He's alive. We are saved because of it!

But if Jesus can be RAISED back to life. And in this message, Pastor Kamron talks about Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead too. But if God has THAT kind of power, to raise someone from death to life... what can He do with YOUR situation you are dealing with today? Would you believe that Jesus can resurrect your bad situation back to life? He can, and He will...

"Much, much... MORE"

What does Jesus look like to you? When you think of Jesus, do you imagine Him hanging out in the clouds or seated on His throne in Heaven? When you think of Jesus... what's that look like?

Like the picture of the Grand Canyon doesn't do it justice... (Until you see it with your own eyes, you just can't fathom the size of it.), likewise... we have a very limited view of Jesus. Our personal "view" of Jesus is limited and He is SO much more!

Today, Pastor Kamron challenges us to come to grips with Jesus being "Much, much... MORE" than we can ever imagine. And the reality is, the closer you get to God, the bigger you realize He is. Listen to this week's message and see if you need to adjust your perspective of Jesus in your life.

"God Designed us for Community"

Today's message is two-fold. First, Pastor Kamron talks about our need to become disciples of Jesus who actually "Go and make disciples" as Jesus commanded. This is a preview of our upcoming series starting after Easter on April 3rd. We are going to learn how to be DISCIPLES of Jesus!

But today is also Community Life Group Sunday. That means we are putting all new Life Groups together to start on April 3rd as well. Today's message is secondly about our need for community as Believers in Christ. God designed us for community.

If you were not in service today and would like to join a Life Group... please contact Pastor Kamron and he will gladly get you connected with one. It's not too late... they don't start until April. Join one today!

"Sing to the Lord"

Our Worship Leader, Becky Cope, shares with us today a message about worship. Now worship is pretty much anything we do to glorify the Lord, right? But more specifically, the worship Becky is talking today is the “singing” act of worship.

The question you need to answer is this. “Am I genuinely singing to the Lord?” Do you find it necessary? Is it just when you “feel” like singing that singing is needed? Is worshiping God in song even Biblical?

Listen to today’s message and find out for yourself. Let’s sing to the Lord a new song! J

Missions Sunday - "FAITH!"

We are so blessed to have with us this week, missionary couple... Pierce and Meghan Davis. They have been serving together in Thailand since 2014 and they are raising their budget to get back as soon as possible. Today, Pierce shares a vital need for something not just in missions... but in life:

FAITH!

We must have faith to succeed at all God has planned for us. Faith is not something some people are blessed to have and some are not. No... faith is something we ALL must have. Listen to the message shared today and see if you can't increase your own faith.

"THEY... is ME"

Who are "THEY" in the Bible? What did "THEY do? What purpose did "THEY" serve? Many Believers today think "THEY" is someone else. "It's surely not me!

But what if it is?

Listen to this week's message as our special guest speaker, Pastor Ted Brancheau, shares the answer to this important question. He states "Some of the most important people in the Bible are a people called THEY!" If this was the case then... it's surely still the case today. So who is THEY?

Let's find out...

"Love.Life"

How is your Love.Life? Not the "hanky-panky" type of love life... but how much of God's Love is infused in your everyday life? How deep is God's LOVE... and your LIFE... fused together?

How's your Love.Life?

Today, Pastor Kamron focuses on the need for more of God's amazing Love in our lives. We tend to put this love in a hidden place and only use it when it becomes necessary. But God wants us to operate in His Love at ALL times! What's that look like? Listen to today's message and see if you can't improve your own Love.Life today.

"Conflict"

Have you ever been offended by a fellow Christian? You find yourself deeply hurt; you can't believe a friend would do what he/she did to you. What do you do? What's your PLAN to react to this egregious matter?

Do you have a plan?

Probably not. If you are like most of us... we react poorly. We go into defense mode and we gather around other friends to support us as we draw up battle lines. War is upon us... (Maybe this is a little exaggerated... but not much)

What if Jesus already gave us the PLAN? Guess what... He did. Listen to today's message that is geared toward every believer no matter how mature you are as a Christian today. We need to embrace this plan Jesus lays out clearly when we are offended. It will happen. When it happens next time, have your plan ready...

"Testify"

Are you a Christian? Do you appreciate all that Jesus has done and is doing for you? Can you answer last weeks "homework" which was to answer the question "Why Do I Believe in Jesus?"

Guess what the next step is? To TESTIFY... to share Jesus with others!

But today, Pastor Kamron shares a "tough love" message that should challenge you to do more. Are you sharing Jesus a little, or for many not at all. We want to play nice with others and we want to wait for people to come to US and ask about Jesus when they are ready. (Guess what, they are ready!) If you are not ashamed of the very Gospel of Jesus that saved you... it's time to TESTIFY!

"Why Do I Believe In Jesus?"

In today’s message, Pastor Kamron lets us in on a little secret… that it’s OK to ask questions about God and about the Bible! In fact, it’s often necessary to ask the really hard questions when you are doubting certain things in your life. But there is ONE big one that Pastor Kamron wants us all to answer for ourselves this week:

“Why Do I Believe In Jesus?”

Why do I BELIEVE? If someone asks me this question, do I have a clear answer that I am personally confident and invested in, myself? It’s important as times get tougher that EACH of us can answer this question for ourselves. Do YOU believe in Jesus? Why?

"The Prayer of Antioch" (PrayerThatWorks SERIES - Week 4)

What if God has a plan for your life that is drastically different from what you are doing today? What if God's amazing plan for your life will require you to invest personal time and resources in order to see it happen? What would you do?

This week's message is the final sermon in our "Prayer that Works" series. Prayer is our communication with the almighty, living God! But we can't just shoot requests and prayers at God and ignore or never even ask what God wants from us! (Can we?) Listen to today's message as Pastor Kamron shares "The Prayer of Antioch" from Acts 13. It's not so much the words you pray... but the question you ask and the willingness to obey God's answer...

"The Power of Persistent Prayer" (PrayerThatWorks SERIES - Week 2)

We are in our 2nd week of our Prayer That Works series. Today, Pastor Kamron shares the need to “Pray and never give up”. Jesus tells us this in Luke 18 when he talks about the unjust judge and the persistent widow. That is our example that we are to emulate.

But why? That’s the question presented in today’s message. Why keep praying for the same thing over and over and over again. Does God not hear us the first few times? Listen to today’s message and find out the answer. It might surprise you. It also might encourage you… to pray and never give up.
